My Faces & Places Travel Journal

Hello World!

One of my favourite books as a child was “Around the World in 80 Days” by Jules Verne. I fantasised about travelling with Phileas Fogg and his trusted valet Passepartout on their adventures on a bet to travel around the world in 80 days.

It fuelled my passion to go globetrotting around the world to broaden my horizon beyond my humble childhood existence in a small town in Sarawak in Malaysian Borneo. It was only wishful thinking until a travel company employed me when I left school at 17.

Since then I was bitten by the travel bug and developed a wanderlust to go a-wandering, as shown in this travel journal. Fast forward forty years and I now live in England and have ticked all the destinations in my childhood wish list and more. I may now be in my sixties but I am still rocking it around the world! There is no age barrier to travelling. As long as you are healthy, keep travelling! It has kept me young at heart and fires my joie de vivre!

As the author of this travel journal, my work is my pleasure guided by my motto: Travel, Learn and Share. Come with me on my journeys so we can travel, learn and share together.

The world would be a better place if we can embrace and respect the cultures and customs of the communities of this planet. Our world is one awesome living tapestry and we are all connected through the threads of the universe.

Confucius said, “Wherever you go, go with all your heart”. I travel with my heart and write from my soul.
